Mirae Asset Chairman Park Hyun-joo Donates Full Dividends for 15 Consecutive Years

Mirae Asset Group announced on the 9th that Chairman Park Hyun-joo will donate the entire dividend from Mirae Asset Global Investments for 2024. This marks the 15th consecutive year of donations, with a cumulative donation amount reaching 33.1 billion KRW.

Chairman Park Hyun-joo has been donating the dividends received from Mirae Asset since 2010. The dividend donated this year is approximately 1.6 billion KRW, bringing the total donations over 15 years to 33.1 billion KRW. In a letter to employees in 2008, Chairman Park promised, "Starting in 2010, I will use the entire dividend for the youth of this land."

The donations will be used for talent development projects through public interest corporations within Mirae Asset Group. Since their establishment, the Mirae Asset Park Hyun-joo Foundation and Mirae Asset Hope Foundation have been conducting various scholarship programs and social welfare projects, including domestic and international scholarship programs, youth vision projects, and global cultural experience groups. As of the end of last year, the total cumulative social contribution expenses of the two foundations amounted to 106.9 billion KRW. Mirae Asset Group plans to continue promoting various projects for talent development and support for future generations in collaboration with its affiliates and public interest corporations.

Chairman Park Hyun-joo is fulfilling her promise to "become the greatest donor rather than the richest person." She leads the spread of a culture of donation and sharing, with a particular focus on the development of science and technology, which is the core of South Korea's economy, and the nurturing of young talent.
