Parents to Receive Text Notifications When Students Pass Through School Entrance
The Daejeon Metropolitan Office of Education announced that it will expand the distribution of the 'Safe Notification Service,' which informs parents of elementary school students via text message about their children's safe departure from school, by the end of April.
The Safe Notification Service automatically sends a text message to parents' mobile phones when a student carrying an identification card passes through the school entrance, which is equipped with a recognition device.
Until last year, the Daejeon Office of Education only provided budget support for schools that applied for the service, but starting this year, the service has been expanded to include all students.
Kim Okse, Director of Education Policy at the Daejeon Metropolitan Office of Education, said, "With the distribution of the Safe Notification Service, parents can check their children's departure information in real time after after-school activities, which will further contribute to strengthening the safety of Neulbom School."
