Recommend Technology Demand Discovered in the Field to Kibo
Rewards Paid Upon Successful Technology Transfer Contracts
The Korea Technology Finance Corporation (Kibo) announced on the 9th that it has signed a "Technology Transaction Supporters Business Agreement to Expand Technology Transfer Demand Discovery and Revitalize the Technology Transaction Market" with Gyeongnam Technopark (Gyeongnam TP).
This agreement was established to promote the creation of an open innovation ecosystem for small and medium-sized venture companies and to revitalize the technology transaction market based on a mutually organic collaboration system between the two organizations. Both organizations agreed to cooperate on ▲strengthening the discovery of technology transfer demand from small and medium enterprises ▲promoting the supporters system and encouraging participation ▲establishing a technology transaction cooperation system and sharing information on technology transactions and commercialization.
Since February last year, Kibo has signed supporters business agreements with seven related organizations including the Small and Medium Business Corporation, continuously increasing the discovery of technology transfer demand from small and medium enterprises. Currently, a total of 185 supporters are active.
Employees of Gyeongnam TP selected as supporters will recommend the technology demand of small and medium enterprises discovered at their work contact points to Kibo. Kibo conducts technology brokerage for the recommended cases and pays rewards to supporters when technology transfer contracts are successfully concluded. Kibo plans to enhance synergy effects by strengthening support for technology transfer and commercialization linkage using the network of 11 specialized small and medium enterprise support centers operated by Gyeongnam TP.
Lee Sang-chang, Director of Kibo, said, "We will continue to strengthen cooperation with related organizations and supporters to take the lead in fostering a self-sustaining technology transaction market centered on small and medium enterprises."
