On the 8th, Mayor Bae visited the Gyeongbuk Provincial Government Office to pay a courtesy call on Lee Cheolwoo, Governor of North Gyeongsang Province, and requested cooperation on major pending projects in Gimcheon, marking the beginning of his full-fledged efforts for regional development.
This visit was part of Mayor Bae's emphasis on realizing the 'One Team Spirit.' Vice Chairman Lee Seungwoo of Gimcheon City Council, as well as Gyeongbuk Provincial Council members Lee Woochung, Choi Byunggeun, Cho Yongjin, and Park Sunha, joined the meeting, creating an opportunity for close cooperation between the city and provincial councils.
During his meeting with the governor, Mayor Bae actively requested budget allocation and administrative support for key issues, including the inclusion of Gimcheon in the 5th National Railroad Network Construction Plan, the extension of the Daegu Metropolitan Railway to Gimcheon, the construction of the Gamokjae Tunnel, major SOC projects, the establishment of a specialized integrated medical center for children, a Mom Support Center to address low birth rates, and the creation of a K-Drone Support Center.
He then met with Park Sungman, Chairman of the Gyeongbuk Provincial Council, to request cooperation for the successful hosting of the '63rd Gyeongbuk Provincial Sports Festival' to be held in Gimcheon in May, and asked for continued support for long-standing local projects.
Mayor Kim Nakho said, "I am grateful for the deep interest and support from the provincial government and council," adding, "The city administration, city council, and provincial council will work as one team to secure national and provincial funding and do our best to revitalize the local economy."
