Mayor Lee emphasized, "AI technology is the core of administrative innovation," adding, "Please realize 'Goyang AI Special City' by gradually applying smart technology throughout the city to greatly improve urban efficiency and make citizens' lives more convenient and safe."
He also stated, "To respond to a super-aged society, we must provide the elderly with sustainable roles beyond simple livelihood jobs," and urged, "Please actively prepare measures so that models like the movie Intern, where retirees remain connected to society and can utilize their experience, can be realized in our Goyang City."
Regarding the current situation where many centers providing services by sector rely solely on budget support, Mayor Lee mentioned, "Looking at Goyang Sports Complex, although it had low profits in the past, last year it earned 2.7 billion KRW and this year is expected to expand profits to around 7 billion KRW through hosting performances," and added, "Please thoroughly review so that each entrusted institution can establish a self-sustaining operational system unique to Goyang City."
Referring to the Naeil Dream Factory, which opened on the 8th, Mayor Lee said, "It is a space that provides customized programs for young people’s practical entrepreneurship and employment preparation. Through practical simulated startups and employment consulting, it is expected to reduce economic burdens and enhance the capabilities of young people."
