[Weather] Rain Starting Wednesday Afternoon... Intermittent Until Thursday

Rain is expected on the afternoon of Wednesday the 9th.

Rain will begin in the late afternoon of the 9th in the Seoul metropolitan area, inland Gangwon, Chungcheong, Honam, and Jeju. The rain will spread nationwide by the night of the 9th and continue until the morning of the 10th in the Seoul metropolitan area and Jeonnam. Rain is forecasted in other regions until the afternoon of the 10th. However, there will be many periods of lull from the morning to the afternoon of the 10th.

Precipitation amounts are expected to be 10?40 mm in Jeju, 5?20 mm in Jeonnam and Gyeongnam regions, and 5?10 mm in Chungnam, Jeonbuk, Gyeongbuk, Ulleungdo, and Dokdo. The Seoul metropolitan area, the five western islands, inland and mountainous Gangwon, and Chungbuk are forecasted to receive around 5 mm, while the eastern coast of Gangwon is expected to receive less than 5 mm.

The National Institute of Environmental Research reported that on the 9th, fine dust levels will be 'bad' in the Seoul metropolitan area, and ozone levels will be 'bad' in northern and southern Gyeonggi, Chungnam, Jeonbuk, Jeonnam, Daegu, Gyeongnam, and Jeju.

Temperatures on the 9th are expected to range from a low of 2?10°C in the morning to a high of 15?22°C during the day. Inland and mountainous areas of Gangwon will have morning lows around 0°C, raising the possibility of cold damage.

Expected low and high temperatures in major cities are Seoul 8°C and 18°C, Incheon 8°C and 15°C, Daejeon 6°C and 22°C, Gwangju and Daegu 7°C and 22°C, Ulsan 6°C and 18°C, and Busan 10°C and 18°C.
