Cho Sangrae, the governor of Gokseong County in Jeollanam-do, attended the opening ceremony of the Gokseong Reserve Forces Center on the 8th, following the integration of reserve units in the Gokseong area.


The Gokseong Reserve Forces Center has newly opened its office to integrate and operate five units?Gokseong County Regional Unit, Mobile Unit, Gokseong-eup Unit, Okhwa Integrated Township Unit, and Seokgok Township Unit?at a single location.


The opening ceremony was attended by Governor Cho, the chairman of the Gokseong County Council, Brigadier General Lee Sunshin of the 31st Division, and military officials. The event proceeded with a construction progress report, presentation of certificates of appreciation, ribbon cutting, and a tour of the facility.


Gokseong County received a certificate of appreciation from the commander of the 2nd Operational Command for its support in operating the reserve units and opening the Reserve Forces Center. The Gokseong Reserve Forces Center is expected to greatly contribute to strengthening regional security through improved efficiency in reserve operations and close cooperation with the local community.


Governor Cho stated, "I hope that the integration of the Gokseong County Regional Reserve Forces Center will shorten operational response times and improve the working conditions of reserve commanders and reservists, ultimately contributing to the safety of our residents."
