Focused Inspection Including Structural Design Document Review and Verification
HDC Hyundai Development Company’s Construction Innovation Team conducted structural consulting activities at the Bomun Central I-Park site on the 8th to prevent safety accidents at urban construction sites.
The structural consulting activities on this day were attended by Park Hong-geun, head of the Construction Innovation Team, the site manager, and other executives and employees. The activities proceeded in the order of a safety inspection meeting (TBM), on-site safety training, site tours, and on-site consulting. Since the Bomun Central I-Park construction site is located in an urban area, special focus was placed on reviewing the structural design documents reflecting site conditions, verifying consistency with construction, and compliance with construction sequencing.
Before the consulting activities, Park Hong-geun conducted training to raise workers’ safety awareness and exchanged various opinions with construction stakeholders on improving safety systems and securing constructability.
Park Hong-geun, head of the Construction Innovation Team, stated, “We conducted consulting activities focused on technical safety, such as verifying the structural safety review of the structures and confirming consistency with on-site construction. Through objective execution of tasks, we will enhance the effectiveness of securing safety and quality at HDC Hyundai Development Company.”
HDC Hyundai Development Company’s Construction Innovation Team has continuously inspected urban sites, including visits to Jamsil Raemian I-Park in January last year and Gangdong I-Park The River in July. This year, along with structural consulting activities in the second half, they plan to continue various on-site safety management programs.
HDC Hyundai Development Company’s Construction Innovation Team was launched in 2022 as an independent decision-making CSO organization and consists of internal and external experts in safety fields such as structures, temporary facilities, and concrete quality. This year, the Construction Innovation Team plans various activities including on-site safety management training using VR (virtual reality), focused early-stage consulting conducted jointly with external expert groups and academia-industry-research collaborations, and quality inspections.
