Gemini Live Now Free on Samsung Galaxy S25
Real-Time Conversations with Gemini via Camera and Screen Sharing
Everyday problems such as how to organize your room for spring cleaning or what clothes to wear can now be solved using the Google artificial intelligence (AI) features on the Samsung Electronics Galaxy S25.
On the 8th, Google Korea announced, "We will sequentially provide the core features of Gemini Live free of charge to Samsung Galaxy S25 users." They added, "Users can have real-time conversations with Gemini about scenes visible on the screen or through the camera and receive various assistance."
On the same day, Samsung Electronics also stated through its newsroom, "By pressing and holding the AI button on the side of the Galaxy S25 and using Gemini Live’s 'real-time screen sharing' feature, users can naturally converse by voice while pointing the camera at their surroundings."
Google’s Gemini Live is a feature that allows real-time conversations with Gemini about images displayed on the smartphone screen or things seen through the camera lens. Google Korea introduced representative use cases where Gemini Live is particularly useful in daily life.
First, Gemini Live can assist when organizing spaces or changing interior decor. By pointing the Gemini Live camera at drawers, wardrobes, shelves, etc., that need organizing, users can ask for advice on how to categorize items, tips for space utilization, and how to distinguish items to dispose of, receiving real-time guidance and organizing tips.
It can also be used as a shopping assistant. For example, while shopping for clothes on a smartphone, users can ask which bottoms would match the top shown on the screen. They can request product comparisons or styling advice, or show items from their wardrobe through the camera to get recommendations for matching combinations.
Gemini also serves as an assistant for building social networking services (SNS). Users can receive feedback on various outputs such as blog posts, social media campaigns, and photo works through screen sharing. From profile pictures and photo captions to overall layout and design, Gemini analyzes multiple aspects and suggests improvements to help create better results.
Additionally, Google Korea stated that if users point the camera at broken electronic devices in their home, they can request help in real time and receive advice for troubleshooting.
