Disability, Death Benefits, and Medical Expenses Provided
Pyeongtaek City in Gyeonggi Province announced on the 8th that it has renewed the 'Pyeongtaek City Citizen Safety Insurance,' which provides insurance payments to citizens who suffer from unexpected disasters or safety accidents. The coverage period for this renewal is until January 31 of next year.
Citizens registered as residents in Pyeongtaek City are automatically enrolled in the insurance without separate subscription. The city covers the entire insurance premium.
The coverage of this Citizen Safety Insurance includes cases such as ▲explosions, collapses, landslides, electric shocks ▲accidents while using public transportation ▲agricultural machinery accidents ▲natural disasters resulting in permanent disability. Insurance payments of up to 10 million KRW are provided depending on the disability rate. In the event of death while using public transportation, a death benefit of 10 million KRW is paid, and if a child is injured in a traffic accident while walking, medical expenses are compensated up to 500,000 KRW per person.
In case of injury accidents, emergency costs, treatment fees, surgery fees, X-ray examination fees, hospitalization fees, and other medical expenses are covered up to 150,000 KRW per person, and if death occurs due to injury, funeral expenses are paid up to 5 million KRW per person.
