Polaris Office announced on the 8th that its solution, 'Polaris Web Office' (hereinafter 'Web Office'), has received the GS Certification Grade 1 from the Korea Information and Communication Technology Association (TTA).
The GS (Good Software) Certification is a representative national certification system that guarantees software quality. It is awarded to software that meets a certain level of quality through various evaluation criteria based on international standards. In particular, Grade 1 certification signifies the highest level of quality, which serves as an important consideration for public institutions and companies when adopting software.
The recent acquisition of GS Certification Grade 1 by Polaris Web Office officially recognizes that it meets all the security, stability, and accessibility requirements demanded by public institutions. Based on this, Polaris Office plans to further expand sales of its on-premise solutions to public institutions.
'Web Office' enables the creation, editing, and sharing of various documents such as HWP, Word, Excel, and PPT across multiple operating systems through a browser without any separate installation. Additionally, it operates stably with a serverless architecture without additional infrastructure server costs, providing cost-saving benefits.
Already, more than 50 companies and public institutions are utilizing 'Web Office' in collaboration tools, electronic approval systems, cloud storage, and groupware to enhance work productivity through digital transformation. Companies and public institutions using 'Web Office' have reported strengthened document collaboration among team members and improved efficiency in project management.
In particular, public institutions can use 'Web Office' to centralize documents and enhance security or to replace the OCX draft approval tool, whose management support is ending, in groupware systems that operate draft approval systems based on HWP files.
A Polaris Office representative stated, "The acquisition of GS Certification Grade 1 will serve as a foundation to provide 'Polaris Web Office' to more public institutions," adding, "At this time when companies and public institutions are accelerating digital transformation, we will continue to release solutions that enhance security and work productivity."
Polaris Office is a domestic native company that developed the 'Hunminjeongeum' software (SW) and provides an efficient and flexible document work environment to 134 million users worldwide through its cloud-based 'Polaris Office AI.' This platform integrates various artificial intelligence functions such as Perplexity and Clova Speech to further enhance work productivity.
Recently, Polaris Office achieved the remarkable feat of being the first domestic office software company to receive the AI Innovation Award at 'CES 2025,' recognizing its innovative technological capabilities. Leveraging this award, Polaris Office is strengthening its position in the global market and is focusing on expanding paid subscribers, particularly in the North American region, where 20 million subscribers are distributed.
