A Canola Flower Festival Filled with the Warm Scent of Spring

Jindo County in Jeonnam Province (Governor Kim Heesu) announced on the 8th that the “Bobaeseom Canola Flower Festival,” filled with the scent of spring, will be held for three days from the 11th to the 13th on Gwanmaedo in Jodo-myeon.

This year’s festival slogan is “Ome, Spring Has Come to Gwanmaedo,” offering visitors to Gwanmaedo a special experience along with the atmosphere of spring.

Unlike last year when the festival was held at nine different locations, this year’s canola flower festival will be concentrated on Gwanmaedo as the main venue. There will be photo zones set against the backdrop of fully bloomed canola flower fields, a food market featuring local specialties from Gwanmaedo, and cultural performances to further enhance the festive atmosphere.

In addition, a variety of hands-on activities will be available, allowing families to create lasting memories in the beautiful natural surroundings of Gwanmaedo. Especially during the festival period, passenger ferry services will be increased so that many tourists can conveniently visit Gwanmaedo.

Governor Kim Heesu said, “Experience a special spring with canola flowers on Gwanmaedo, filled with the scent of spring,” and added, “See you on Gwanmaedo on the 11th.”
