The program will be implemented until the end of the year with a limit of 20 units each, prioritizing subsidies for delivery electric two-wheelers. Subsidy applications can only be made after usage registration if the vehicle is registered and the owner has resided or operated an office within the district for at least 90 days. Individuals, including residents and foreigners, are eligible for one unit, while corporations and sole proprietors can receive benefits for up to two units.

Earlier, since February, the district has also been providing subsidies for the purchase of eco-friendly vehicles such as electric passenger cars, cargo trucks, medium-sized vans, and hydrogen electric passenger cars. Eligibility criteria are the same as for the electric two-wheeler program, with support limited to one unit per person, providing 800,000 KRW per vehicle for a total of 80 units.

The newly purchased vehicles must be initially registered within the district, and recipients of the subsidy are required to comply with mandatory operation for eight years under the Air Quality Preservation Act.

Residents wishing to apply for the subsidy should prepare the necessary documents and submit them in person at the district office’s Environment Division or by mail. The program may end early if the budget is exhausted. For more details, please refer to the announcement posted on the district office website or contact the Environment Division at 02-820-9738.

Mayor Park Il-ha stated, “Supporting subsidies for eco-friendly vehicle purchases is a win-win project that reduces the economic burden on residents and local small and medium-sized enterprises and contributes to carbon neutrality. We will continue to strive to develop policies that harmoniously realize the convenience of residents and the public interest.”
