Incheon Airport Corporation Recruiting Companies to Participate in Startup Incubation Program

Application Deadline: 5 p.m. on the 30th

Incheon International Airport Corporation announced on the 8th that it is recruiting participating companies for the '2025 Incheon Airport Startup Incubation Project' to secure the next-generation growth engine of the airport industry.

This project, conducted in collaboration with Incheon Technopark, is a program that discovers creative and innovative domestic startups in the airport industry sector and supports them with commercialization funds as well as capacity building. This year, about 10 startups established within the last 7 years will be selected and supported in four major digital airport-related fields (Smart Airport, Eco-friendly Airport, Wellness Airport, Cultural and Arts Airport).

The application period is from the 9th to 30th of this month until 5 p.m. Those who wish to participate can apply through the 'Biz OK website.' The corporation plans to select the supported companies in May after document and face-to-face evaluations by a panel of experts.

The final selected companies will receive a total of 500 million KRW (an average of 50 million KRW per company) in commercialization funds, along with various support programs such as customized mentoring, expanded networking, and enhanced investment attraction capabilities.

Additionally, for outstanding companies with confirmed growth potential, the corporation plans to provide additional follow-up support programs linked to its existing co-growth support projects to help these companies grow into unicorn companies in the future.

This support program is a follow-up project to the 'Mutual Cooperation for Startup Discovery and Incubation' agreement signed in 2020 between the corporation, Incheon Metropolitan City, Incheon Technopark, and the Incheon Free Economic Zone Authority. Based on this agreement, the corporation has selected a total of 78 startups over five years (2020?2024) and provided a total of 3.7 billion KRW in growth funds. Startups supported by the corporation have achieved results such as 64.4 billion KRW in sales, 38 billion KRW in investment and loans attracted, and the creation of 323 new jobs.

Lee Hak-jae, President of Incheon International Airport Corporation, said, "By supporting commercialization funds and capacity-building programs for innovative companies with high growth potential to strengthen co-growth, we plan to accelerate innovation in the domestic airport industry ecosystem and enhance global competitiveness."
