A fire of unknown origin broke out in a hill in Geomdan-ri, Angang-eup, Gyeongju-si, Gyeongbuk, and was extinguished in 55 minutes.
On the 7th, at around 3:31 PM, the forestry authorities deployed six helicopters, personnel, and equipment to extinguish the main fire in about 55 minutes.
The authorities estimated that 0.6 hectares of forest were burned in the fire. Immediately after the fire, Gyeongju City sent a disaster alert text message advising nearby residents to be cautious. The forestry authorities plan to investigate the cause of the fire.
