Asan Mayor Oh Sehyun: "We Will Implement Responsible Administration That Citizens Can Feel"

On the 7th, Oh Sehyun, Mayor of Asan, stated at an expanded executive meeting held in the city hall situation room, "We will realize changes and responsible administration that citizens can truly feel."

Presiding over his first meeting since being elected as the 9th mayor in the 8th popularly elected term, Mayor Oh began by saying, "I would like to thank the staff who worked hard to minimize inconvenience to citizens even during the by-election period."

Mayor Oh presented key tasks such as ▲revitalizing the local economy ▲stabilizing livelihoods ▲strengthening youth and welfare policies ▲realizing a self-sufficient city with a population of 500,000, and announced, "We will expand the issuance of Asan Pay to 500 billion won, increase special guarantees for small businesses to 50 billion won, and launch an Emergency Livelihood Economy Special Committee."

He then targeted former Mayor Park Kyungkwi, saying, "For the past three years, the administration has been focused on showy events and performance-oriented policies," and emphasized, "Now, we must shift to an administration that puts citizens' lives at the center and actively work to restore the community and normalize education issues."

He also announced plans to resume major projects from the 7th popularly elected term that had been put on hold, and called for swift execution to revitalize the stagnant local economy.

Mayor Oh urged the staff to take pride in their work, saying, "Public service is not simply a means of livelihood, but a valuable role that contributes to the community."
