BPA's Overseas Project Selected for Proposal Competition in the First Quarter of This Year

Discovering Joint Investment Projects Reflecting Private Sector Demand
Quarterly Call for Business Ideas

Busan Port Authority (BPA, President Song Sangkeun) has conditionally selected two private proposals for overseas projects through a public call and review process to discover new overseas investment projects reflecting private sector demand.

At the review committee held on the 1st, four overseas joint investment projects submitted by domestic logistics companies for the "2025 BPA Overseas Proposal Project Public Call" conducted during February and March were reviewed.

BPA conditionally selected two proposals by reviewing the basic feasibility of the projects through a review process involving internal and external experts.

The selected proposals involve securing new logistics centers in the hinterlands of Constanta Port in Romania and Rijeka Port in Croatia. BPA plans to conduct detailed feasibility studies and negotiate specific business terms with the proposing companies.

The BPA overseas project proposal call is held once every quarter, and the call for the second quarter is scheduled for May.

Companies wishing to jointly pursue projects with BPA can submit proposals for various overseas logistics infrastructure such as container terminals, logistics centers, ODCY, and depots to BPA.

Song Sangkeun, President of BPA, stated, "We plan to regularly hold proposal calls every quarter to discover excellent business ideas based on creative private sector proposals," and added, "We will continue to actively support our export logistics companies to secure global logistics competitiveness."

BPA currently operates five logistics centers in the hinterlands of major ports (Rotterdam Port in the Netherlands, Barcelona Port in Spain, Probolinggo Port in East Java, Indonesia, and LA/LB Ports in the United States) to stabilize the supply chains of our export companies and enhance cost competitiveness.
