During the semester, supplementary subject classes, emotional development programs, after-school learning tutors, and seasonal classes during vacations are offered at each school. Each school autonomously designs its programs according to its situation and needs.

On the 7th, the Gwangju Office of Education held an information session and case study training at the Creative Convergence Education Center for more than 170 staff members and third grade homeroom teachers.

This year, 154 elementary schools in the Gwangju area will receive budget support, and monitoring and consulting on the operation status will also be conducted. Training sessions for teachers and parents will be held as well.

Superintendent Lee Jeongseon said, "Third grade is a crucial period for basic learning," and added, "We will provide intensive support to achieve substantial academic improvement."
