37 Billion KRW in R&D Funding to Be Provided by 2030
Hoseo University announced on the 7th that its Graduate School of Technology Management has been selected for the "Global Advanced Strategic Industry Technology Management Professional Training Project" hosted by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy.
This project is a government-led program aimed at fostering high-level talent with technological commercialization capabilities in national strategic industries such as semiconductors and displays.
Through this selection, Hoseo University will receive approximately 3.7 billion KRW in research and development funding by 2030, and plans to train 645 professionals based on this support.
In addition, the university will focus on promoting global industry-academia projects based on open innovation to drive innovative growth for semiconductor, display materials, parts, and equipment companies located in the Chungcheong region. Through the "Global Open Innovation R&D Hub Center," it also plans to support joint research with domestic and international research institutions, secure cutting-edge technologies, and facilitate commercialization.
Kwon Youngil, Dean of the Graduate School, stated, "With this project selection, we will grow into a leading global graduate school of technology management representing Korea," and added, "Through customized education linked to local industries, we will nurture core talent that leads practical technological commercialization and the global market."
