A European Port Village Filled with Global Flavors
Arrives in Busan This Spring
From April 25 to May 11, Busan Port's Pier 1 will be transformed into a European port village.
The gourmet festival 'PORT VILLAGE BUSAN,' jointly hosted by Busan Tourism Organization and Food Travel Co., Ltd., and organized by Market Warehouse and Market Um, is inviting citizens to join the celebration.
Market Warehouse, which hosted last winter's sensational 'Christmas Village Busan,' returns this spring with 'PORT VILLAGE BUSAN.' Expanding on the excitement of the Christmas Village, this event is upgraded to eight times the previous scale, offering an immersive 'European port village trip in the city.'
This event, held at Busan Port's Pier 1, which spans over 14,200 square meters, is expected to attract 400,000 visitors.
The interior of Pier 1's warehouse will be recreated as an authentic European port village, while the ocean terrace facing the open sea will offer food, drinks, and performances all at once. With over 1,500 indoor and outdoor tables set up, the event is perfect not only for families but also for friends and couples.
The core of 'PORT VILLAGE BUSAN' is a global gourmet journey. Over 60 local brands specializing in F&B from around the world will participate, including some of the hottest and most sought-after brands that are hard to experience without an open run. In addition, 'Market Um,' Korea's largest living and lifestyle flea market, will join with over 50 brands spanning living, fashion, crafts, and more.
Park Sanghwa, CEO of Food Travel Co., Ltd., said, "We have designed this as a sensory experience that goes beyond a simple market, allowing visitors to feel as if they are traveling abroad in the heart of the city. Especially, the unique combination of the port location and the European village concept will not only become a new tourism content for Busan but also be remembered as a great example of collaboration with local brands."
'PORT VILLAGE BUSAN,' which will color Busan's spring in a special way, is set to welcome visitors with a wide variety of entertainment and gourmet experiences for all ages.
This event is pet-friendly, making it an open festival for families and pet owners alike. Additionally, a waterfront park has been created around the venue, offering the perfect setting for a relaxing stroll along with the festivities.
