"Now It's Our Turn" Hongseong County Urges Participation in Fundraising for Yeongnam Wildfire Victims Hongseong County held a campaign to raise donations from all citizens to help with wildfire damage in the Yeongnam region.

On the morning of the 7th at 11 a.m., Hongseong County, Chungnam Province announced that it held a “County-wide Fundraising Campaign to Help Residents Affected by Wildfires in the Yeongnam Region” in the county office meeting room, with County Governor Lee Yongrok and senior officials in attendance.


This campaign was organized to encourage active participation from county residents in the “County-wide Fundraising Campaign to Help Residents Affected by Wildfires in the Yeongnam Region,” which the county is actively promoting as a gesture of gratitude for the nationwide support received during the wildfire in Seobu-myeon in 2023.


This fundraising campaign, which will run until the 30th, is being held under the slogan “The helping hands we once received, now let us share hope,” with County Governor Lee Yongrok and senior officials participating first and aiming to encourage participation from county residents through this campaign.


To this end, the county plans to continuously promote the campaign so that various organizations, businesses, and residents within the county can participate, thereby expanding the atmosphere of participation and achieving meaningful results in the fundraising effort.


Lee Yongrok, Governor of Hongseong County, said, “I ask that our residents actively join this campaign with a spirit of gratitude and repayment,” adding, “Please show your interest and participation so that even a small act of kindness can create a great miracle.”


Residents wishing to participate in the fundraising campaign can inquire at the county office or participate through the Community Chest of Korea, the Korean Red Cross, or the National Disaster Relief Association.
