To Be Held in Nuremberg, Germany, From June 6th to 8th Next Month
DB HiTek announced on the 7th that it will participate in 'PCIM 2025,' Europe's largest power semiconductor exhibition, held in Nuremberg, Germany, from the 6th to the 8th of next month (local time).
At the exhibition, the company plans to showcase its silicon carbide (SiC) and gallium nitride (GaN) power semiconductor processes, which it has identified as future growth engines. In February, DB HiTek secured the basic characteristics of SiC 8-inch wafers with all processes developed in-house, and after improving yield and reliability, it plans to offer the process to customers by the end of this year.
The GaN 8-inch process has secured the characteristics of 650V high electron mobility transistors (HEMT) and is expected to complete reliability verification within this year. According to Yole D?veloppement, a market research firm specializing in semiconductors and electronics, the global SiC and GaN power semiconductor market size is projected to grow from $3.6 billion in 2024 to $7.6 billion in 2027, with a compound annual growth rate of 27.6%. A DB HiTek official stated, "This will be an opportunity to introduce DB HiTek's strengths, highly regarded by global customers for fabless customer support and collaboration, to European customers as well."
