Jindo County Named 'Outstanding Institution' in Proactive Administration Evaluation by Ministry of the Interior and Safety

Jindo County, Jeonnam (Governor Kim Heesu) announced on the 7th that it has been honored as an "Excellent Institution" for three consecutive years in the "Comprehensive Evaluation of Proactive Administration by Local Governments" hosted by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety.

The comprehensive evaluation of proactive administration is a system in which the Ministry of the Interior and Safety annually assesses the establishment of proactive administration implementation plans, efforts to promote activation, performance of implementation, and public perception in order to spread a culture of proactive administration within the public sector.

In this evaluation, the county received high scores in various areas such as establishing proactive administration action plans, selecting outstanding public officials, awarding extra points, operating a pre-consultation system, and implementing the "Proactive Administration Mileage System," and was selected as an excellent institution in the top 30% of local governments nationwide for three consecutive years.

In particular, the best practice submitted, "All Information in Jindo County with a Single Smartphone Touch," received positive evaluations for practicing citizen- and field-centered open communication administration through the development of the "Smart Village Broadcasting" and "Jindo County Public App," and for innovatively bridging the digital divide for elderly users through the "Visiting Digital Supporters" program.

Governor Kim Heesu stated, "Being selected as an excellent institution for three consecutive years in the comprehensive evaluation of proactive administration is a valuable result of all our staff's efforts to break away from old practices and pursue proactive administration. We will do our best to further spread a culture of proactive administration that our residents can truly feel, and to provide an opportunity for regional development by enabling Jindo County officials to carry out more proactive and leading administration."
