Improving Access to Hwangsan Park
and Offering a Variety of Attractions
Yangsan City, Gyeongnam Province, announced that Hwangsan Park is progressing smoothly according to the "Tomorrow's City Mulgeum, One-Stop Life" Mulgeum Vision Plan unveiled by the city earlier this year.
In January this year, Yangsan City announced the "Tomorrow's City Mulgeum, One-Stop Life" Mulgeum Vision, which includes the construction of an elevated entrance road and the Mulgeum Cherry Blossom Road Green Railway plan to dramatically improve access conditions. This is aimed at resolving severe traffic congestion and inconvenience during large-scale events such as the Cherry Blossom Road Festival and Chrysanthemum Festival, which occur during the peak tourist season.
Accordingly, the city has allocated a supplementary budget of 200 million KRW to conduct a feasibility study, with the goal of completing the project by 2029. It is expected that alleviating severe congestion and improving accessibility will attract nationwide attention as a tourist destination.
Additionally, to provide a variety of attractions, the city has planted nine types of tulips in the Central Plaza, allowing visitors to fully enjoy them along with canola flowers from mid-April to May.
An official from Yangsan City stated, "The Mulgeum Vision announced in January is progressing as planned, and we will continue to provide various events and attractions at Hwangsan Park to create an ecological space that satisfies all five senses, blending nature and culture."
