A Spring Night Science Culture Event Blending Talk, Concert, and Hands-on Experiences
The Gwangju National Science Museum will hold a nighttime science culture event for adults, the 'Science Night Festival 19+,' on the 25th. This event, themed around 'flowers' in celebration of spring, is a special occasion designed to break the stereotype that science museums are spaces only for children.
According to the Gwangju Science Museum on the 7th, this 'Science Night 19+,' the first of its kind this year, is currently accepting applications from the first 90 people until the 22nd, with a participation fee of 20,000 won. Reservations can be made on the museum's website.

The event's subtitle is 'When Spring Comes and Flowers Bloom.' The program is organized in a complex cultural format that blends music, dining, lectures, and hands-on experiences. Starting with 'Flower Dining' accompanied by a spring flower music concert by the band Hwaryeo, the event will continue with a talk concert titled 'Stories of Spring Flowers That Resemble Our Lives,' featuring Professor Lee Youngha from Seoul National University's Department of Biological Sciences and host Heo Jaemu.
In addition, a variety of sensory-awakening programs are prepared, such as the 'Flower Class,' where participants can make their own bouquets, and 'Flower Tea Sommelier,' where they can experience the aroma and stories of flower tea. There will also be an event to select the best-dressed participant based on photos taken during the event, with special commemorative gifts provided.
Researcher Han Sumin said, "This event, with its even richer lineup, will offer adult participants a unique and memorable science culture experience."
