Visiting Rural Sites During the Busy Farming Season
Strengthening Communication and Resolving Residents' Inconveniences
Hamyang County in Gyeongnam announced on the 7th that it will actively promote the "Visiting Village Meeting," aiming to directly listen to the vivid voices from agricultural sites during the busy farming season and promptly resolve residents' inconveniences.
This meeting is the third field-centered administrative initiative by County Governor Jin Byeongyeong, who emphasizes pragmatic county administration and communication with residents. He will personally visit agricultural sites such as rice paddies, social organizations, and farmers' groups to listen to residents' difficulties and provide updates on the progress of key village projects.
County Governor Jin Byungyoung is explaining the projects currently underway or planned in the village.
As the first step, Governor Jin Byeongyeong visited the Senior Center in Sangbaek Village and the Community Hall in Hudong Village in Hamyang-eup to attentively listen to the residents' daily inconveniences and provide detailed information on projects currently underway or planned in the villages.
Hamyang County plans to visit all 262 villages in the jurisdiction sequentially each week. Since the start of on-site administration in March 2024, inspections of major county projects and focused checks of senior centers' living environments during the winter have been conducted at 115 locations so far. Through these efforts, the county was selected for a Ministry of the Interior and Safety contest project to highlight regional characteristics last year and secured national funding as a result.
Governor Jin Byeongyeong stated, "I hope this meeting will provide a refreshing solution to residents' long-standing wishes and address any questions about projects being promoted in the region," adding, "We will continue to strengthen field-oriented county administration so that we do not miss even the smallest voices of our residents and can resolve their concerns."
