Mayor Cho Kyuil:
"We Will Do Our Best
for Citizen Safety and Livelihood Stability"
Jinju City, Gyeongnam, held an emergency countermeasure meeting presided over by Mayor Cho Kyuil after the presidential impeachment was upheld, and decided to form and operate a 'Special Task Force for Establishing Public Service Discipline.'
During the meeting, it was decided to organize a Civil Stability Countermeasure Task Force consisting of three teams and fourteen sub-units: the General Affairs Team, the Livelihood Economy Team, and the Safety and Welfare Team, all under the supervision of the Deputy Mayor. Each team will carry out its respective roles until the next presidential election.
Mayor Cho Gyuil is holding an emergency strategy meeting to operate a special task force for establishing public service discipline following the approval of the presidential impeachment.
The General Affairs Team will be responsible for establishing public service discipline and ensuring the political neutrality of public officials. The Livelihood Economy Team will focus on monitoring prices, supporting vulnerable groups, and implementing policies to stabilize the local economy. The Safety and Welfare Team will prioritize citizen safety by responding to disasters, preventing wildfires, and inspecting the social welfare safety net.
Mayor Cho Kyuil stated, "In the situation of a presidential impeachment, we must prioritize the stability of citizens' lives based on strict public service discipline," and added, "We will concentrate our administrative efforts so that citizens can continue their daily lives with peace of mind."
Meanwhile, Jinju City plans to continue operating a proactive response system to ensure community stability and minimize inconvenience to citizens.
