Sculpture Above Okgae Underpass Receives Positive Response from Citizens with Emotional Lighting
Gumi City in North Gyeongsang Province has installed nighttime landscape lighting on the "Seed of the Future" sculpture located at the entrance of the Okgae Underpass, the gateway to the 4th district of the Gumi National Industrial Complex.
Nightscape lighting has been installed at the entrance of Okgyegihachado, the gateway to the 4th Complex of Gumi National Industrial Complex, on the sculpture 'Seed of the Future'. Seed of the Future
The "Seed of the Future" is a symbolic monument erected in October 2009 to commemorate the establishment of the 4th industrial complex. Shaped with curves representing water droplets and seeds, the sculpture expresses the vitality and convergence of advanced technology.
This sculpture, measuring 12.5 meters in height and 4 meters in width, is finished with reinforced glass. While its artistic form stood out during the day, its presence faded at night due to the lack of lighting.
Gumi City has created a vibrant nighttime scene by installing floodlights that illuminate the entire sculpture, as well as subtle circular lighting at its base.
With this installation, the "Seed of the Future" is expected to become a shining local landmark even at night, providing new energy to citizens and workers commuting to and from the industrial complex.
A Gumi City official stated, "This lighting installation will not only improve the city's aesthetics but also enhance the emotional satisfaction of local residents," adding, "We will continue to work on improving the image and landscape of the industrial complex."
