The Ministry of Science and ICT announced on the 6th that, as part of the 'K-Digital Export Pioneering Team' activities, it will participate in the world's largest broadcasting equipment exhibition, the '2025 National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) Show' in the United States, to showcase domestic companies' broadcasting and media technologies. The Ministry has been promoting pioneering team activities to support domestic companies in finding export opportunities.
The NAB Show, an exhibition where one can grasp the technological trends and industry developments in the broadcasting market, opened on the 5th (local time) in Las Vegas, USA. The 'Korean Broadcasting Technology Pavilion,' featuring 35 companies and institutions including the Electronics and Telecommunications Research Institute (ETRI), broadcasters, and broadcasting media companies, will exhibit next-generation broadcasting media technologies integrated with artificial intelligence (AI) technology. It will also introduce media platform concepts prepared for future environments such as next-generation mobility.
The Ministry of Science and ICT stated that it will explore overseas market entry strategies for Korean companies in collaboration with the Korea Radio Promotion Association, the National Association of Broadcasters in the US, and the Advanced Television Systems Committee (ATSC).
Kim Nam-cheol, Director of the Radio Policy Bureau at the Ministry of Science and ICT, said, "We will actively support technology commercialization so that promising domestic small and medium-sized enterprises can secure capabilities for overseas expansion and strengthen activities to pioneer overseas markets."
