[Yoon Seok-yeol Impeachment] People Power Party to Hold Senior Members' Meeting and Party Assembly on 6th to Discuss Political Response

The People Power Party will hold a senior members' meeting and a party caucus on the 6th to discuss measures to respond to the political situation following the impeachment of former President Yoon Seok-yeol.

The party leadership is expected to hold a caucus at the National Assembly in the afternoon to discuss responses to the political situation after the impeachment of former President Yoon and to exchange views on the schedule for an early presidential election.

Earlier, on the 4th, immediately after the impeachment of former President Yoon, the People Power Party held a caucus to discuss response measures but was unable to reach a conclusion despite a three-hour-long meeting.

At this caucus, discussions are also expected regarding the formation of an internal election management committee in preparation for the early presidential election. Given the tight election schedule, discussions for election preparations are inevitable.

Prior to the caucus, the leadership will hold a meeting with senior lawmakers who have served four or more terms. Opinions on party unity measures following the presidential impeachment are expected to be exchanged at this meeting.
