Composed of Three Courses: Trade Practice, Global Online Marketing, and Small Business Export Training
Certificate of Completion Issued by the Korea Trade Academy for Over 80% Attendance in Each Course
Busan Metropolitan City (Mayor Park Hyungjoon) and the Busan Regional Headquarters of the Korea International Trade Association (Head Kwon Dogyeom) are operating a year-round "Comprehensive Training Program for Trade Practices and Export Marketing" to support local companies' entry into overseas markets and foster trade professionals.
The city has integrated previously separate trade practice and online marketing training programs and newly established an export education course for small business owners, offering a comprehensive curriculum.
This training program consists of three courses: ▲Trade Practice Specialist (May to November, 9 days, 45 hours), ▲Global Online Marketing Specialist (April to June, 6 days, 36 hours), and ▲Small Business Export Training (September, 5 days, 25 hours). All courses are free of charge.
The "Trade Practice Specialist" course covers everything from trade theory and trade English to simulated trade transactions, providing practical knowledge that can be immediately applied in the field.
The "Global Online Marketing Specialist" course is conducted in real-time online sessions, covering all aspects of promising global e-commerce marketing.
In particular, the newly established "Small Business Export Training" course this year targets 50 participants, including Busan entrepreneur-type small business owners (B-Lycon) and prospective entrepreneurs who have graduated from the Lycon Startup Academy. The course provides practical know-how to help them easily experience overseas sales and market entry through global open markets.
Additionally, through one-on-one consultations with experts, even those with limited capital but creative ideas and capabilities will be encouraged to boldly challenge export opportunities.
Participants who attend more than 80% of each course will receive a certificate of completion issued by the Korea Trade Academy.
The certificate is expected to attract high interest, as it can serve as proof of job competency for job seekers aiming to enter fields such as trade, overseas sales, customs clearance, and logistics, and as a resource for career enhancement and skills development for current professionals.
Detailed schedules and course content can be found on the websites of the Busan Regional Headquarters of the Korea International Trade Association and the city's Integrated Overseas Marketing System.
Those wishing to enroll should apply through the website of the Busan Regional Headquarters of the Korea International Trade Association two weeks before the start of each course. Each session is limited to 100 participants on a first-come, first-served basis, and multiple applications are allowed.
Kim Bongcheol, Director of the Digital Economy Bureau of the city, stated, "This training program, which covers everything from trade practices to advanced marketing techniques, will be highly useful for job seekers, employees, and small business owners alike, tailored to different stages and purposes. We hope that through this comprehensive training, Busan's small business owners and local companies will develop their trade skills and advance into larger markets."
The "Busan Export One-Stop Center" operated by the city serves as a key hub for regional export support, providing ▲comprehensive export support policy guidance, ▲customized training, ▲consultation for export challenges, and ▲operation of a university student trade support group, offering all necessary export support in a one-stop service.
It is expected that export beginners and prospective entrepreneurs will find it much easier to enter the global market, as they can obtain all necessary information and receive professional consultations at this center.
