Gwangju University announced on the 5th that the Gwangju Youth Job Station Sangmu Center (headed by Jo Yugun, Professor of Accounting and Taxation at Gwangju University), which is operated by the university's Industry-Academic Cooperation Foundation, recently held a launching ceremony for the 'Ready-UP Supporters.'
About 50 young people applied for the 'Ready-UP Supporters,' and on this day, appointment certificates were awarded to the 10 selected youth supporters, followed by an orientation to discuss the direction of their future activities.
The youth supporters will play roles such as proposing youth policy ideas, planning and developing content, and establishing promotional marketing strategies. Outstanding supporters will receive awards and souvenirs. In addition, all participants will be issued official supporter activity certificates and provided with various opportunities for networking and capacity building.
The Youth Growth Project is a program jointly operated by the Ministry of Employment and Labor and Gwangju City to support unemployed youth aged 15 to 39 so they do not give up on job searching. As part of this project, the Gwangju Youth Job Station offers a variety of services to support employment, entrepreneurship, and daily life recovery, helping young people enter the labor market.
Jo Yugun, head of the Sangmu Center, said, "Through this supporter activity, young people can strengthen their capabilities, and we hope that the Gwangju Youth Job Station can grow together with the youth."
