Police Review Arrest Warrant Request for Man Who Damaged Police Bus in Front of Constitutional Court Yonhap News

The police are considering detaining and investigating a man who, enraged by the Constitutional Court's decision to dismiss former President Yoon Seok-yeol, smashed a police bus with a baton.


On the 4th, the Jongno Police Station in Seoul announced through a press release that the man is currently in custody and that they are reviewing the application for an arrest warrant on charges including damage to public property.


The man, wearing a helmet and gas mask, damaged the glass window of a police bus parked in front of Exit 5 of Anguk Station at around 11:28 a.m. on the same day, immediately after the impeachment ruling.


After the incident, he was arrested by riot police and handed over to the Jongno Police Station, and the baton was confiscated at the scene.
