Kim Byung-hwan, Chairman of the Financial Services Commission, emphasized on the 4th that there should be no disruption in the implementation of financial policies by FSC staff following the impeachment ruling of President Yoon Seok-yeol.
On the afternoon of the same day, Chairman Kim held an emergency executive meeting at the Government Seoul Office and stated, "As public officials responsible for financial policy, please do your best to ensure that there is no gap in state affairs."
Chairman Kim said, "We must closely monitor the impact on our financial market of the volatility caused by the U.S. mutual tariff imposition measures and the Constitutional Court's impeachment ruling."
He added, "Please be thoroughly prepared to immediately activate available market stabilization measures according to the response plans for each situation."
