"Time to Steel Ourselves Beyond Sorrow"
On the 4th, Na Kyung-won, a member of the People Power Party, expressed that she felt "devastated" over the Constitutional Court's unanimous ruling to dismiss former President Yoon Seok-yeol.
On the same day, Na posted on Facebook, stating, "I believe this is a judgment that fails to properly consider due process, parliamentary democracy, the livelihood of the people, and national interests, which are collapsing due to the one-party dictatorship and parliamentary breakdown by Lee Jae-myung and the Democratic Party."
She asked, "I want to ask whether (the dismissal of former President Yoon) is a decision for the Republic of Korea and its people," adding, "The Constitutional Court's decision cannot be reversed. However, it cannot suppress the people's desire to protect liberal democracy."
She continued, "We must not remain in helpless defeatism," emphasizing, "Now is the time to steel ourselves beyond sorrow." She further raised her voice, saying, "If the dictatorship of Lee Jae-myung and the Democratic Party seizes not only legislative power but also executive power? If even the president's veto power is nullified, and the evil laws they push through become an unstoppable reality in Korea, that is not the future we want."
Na argued, "We must all arm ourselves with a solemn sense of responsibility for the future of the Republic of Korea," and insisted, "First, we must restore discipline within our party and move forward as one."
