On that day, the foundation stated on SNS, "On April 4, 2025, South Korea’s democracy took a step forward. To remember that significance, we will offer free Americanos for one day at the Coffee Saneun Sesang on the 3rd floor of the Roh Moo-hyun Citizen Center."
They added, "As much as we have devoted time to democracy, we hope your brief coffee time will be a little warmer," and asked, "What flavor does your democracy have today?"

Earlier, immediately after the Constitutional Court’s ruling to impeach former President Yoon, the foundation recalled the late President Roh’s words, "The last bastion of democracy is the organized power of awakened citizens." This phrase is also engraved on his tombstone like a testament. They cheered, "The will of the sovereign people has finally been fulfilled. We have reaffirmed that the owner of the nation is always the people. A victory for democracy."
Former President Roh Moo-hyun was the first to have an impeachment motion passed against him in the National Assembly due to controversy over election neutrality obligations, but he served as president until the end of his term after the Constitutional Court dismissed the motion on May 14, 2004. However, after leaving office, he was involved in the 'Park Yeon-cha Gate' scandal and passed away during the ongoing prosecution investigation.
Former President Yoon was impeached unanimously by all eight Constitutional Court justices on that day. At 11:22 a.m., when the verdict was read, he officially became a former president.
Afterwards, through his legal representatives, former President Yoon stated, "It was a great honor to have been able to work for South Korea all this time," and "I deeply thank everyone who supported and cheered for me despite my many shortcomings." He continued, "I am very sorry and regretful for not meeting your expectations," and said, "I will always pray for my beloved South Korea and its people."
