Jung Heonyul, the mayor of Iksan, held an emergency response meeting on the 4th, the day the president's impeachment was decided, emphasizing 'stabilizing people's livelihoods.' Immediately after the Constitutional Court's ruling on the president's impeachment, Mayor Jung convened senior officials for an emergency meeting to discuss response measures to the impeachment.

At the meeting, Mayor Jung expressed deep concern that the local community, already anxious after the declaration of martial law, could face heightened confusion due to the aftermath of the impeachment.

Mayor Jung told the senior officials, "Even if politics is shaken and turbulent, the lives of our citizens must remain steady. We must approach administration with the mindset of being close to the people and take even greater care in supporting their livelihoods."

During the meeting, response measures to ensure the stability of people's livelihoods without disruption were discussed. The main agenda items included: ▲measures to stabilize the local economy ▲safety responses to rallies and demonstrations ▲establishing discipline among public officials ▲preparing for the presidential election schedule.

The city plans to strengthen support for small and medium-sized enterprises that lead the local economy, and to boost local consumption by stably managing prices for small business owners who sustain neighborhood markets.

Additionally, the city has prepared citizen safety measures in cooperation with the police to respond to local unrest resulting from the acceptance of the impeachment. In particular, an emergency response system will be maintained to respond swiftly in the event of illegal activities.

Mayor Jung said, "Our citizens have had to endure much fatigue and anxiety during the months of turmoil. Going forward, Iksan City will focus all administrative efforts solely on stabilizing people's livelihoods and ensuring the safety of our citizens without hesitation."

He added, "In every era, it has been the wisdom of citizens that has supported the community and paved the right path. The administration will firmly manage city affairs and, hand in hand with our citizens, wisely overcome this period of confusion together."
