"Discussing the Current Status of the Entertainment Industries in Both Countries"
Actors Lee Jung-jae and Jung Woo-sung opened the door to exchanges by meeting with representatives from Chinese entertainment companies.
Their agency, Artist Company, announced on the 4th that the two actors recently visited Beijing, China, and met with representatives from entertainment companies affiliated with Alibaba Group, among others. The agency stated, "We contacted 6 to 7 entertainment companies for the purpose of exchange," and added, "We discussed the current status of the entertainment industries in both Korea and Japan."
Among the people they met was Zhou Dongyu (周冬雨), an actress who starred in films such as Better Days, Us and Them, and Better Days. The agency explained, "Zhou Dongyu expressed her desire to greet Lee Jung-jae and Jung Woo-sung through the head of her production company, which led to the meeting," and clarified, "The meeting was not held for any projects or business purposes."

However, Chinese media reported that local netizens are hopeful about the possibility of Korea-China film co-productions. Zhou Dongyu, who visited Korea last year as a jury member of the Busan International Film Festival, has previously attempted to expand overseas. Lee Jung-jae made his directorial debut with the film Hunt.
