Uijeongbu City, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Kim Dong-geun) held an emergency countermeasure meeting on the 4th regarding the acceptance of the presidential impeachment, attended by about 20 people including the vice mayor, heads of departments and divisions, and related department heads.

At the meeting, the focus was on ▲ thorough preparation for the presidential election following the acceptance of the presidential impeachment ▲ measures for citizen safety and regional stability ▲ inspection of emergency response readiness and establishment of public officials' discipline ▲ current issues and response plans by each department. In particular, it was emphasized that each department should respond quickly and systematically to minimize citizens' anxiety and prevent any administrative gaps.
Vice Mayor Park Seong-nam stated, “Even in this serious national situation of presidential impeachment, I hope public officials will fulfill their duties unwaveringly in their respective positions,” and added, “Despite the unsettled social atmosphere, we will maintain the stability of city administration through responsible governance so that citizens do not feel anxious.”
He continued, “Above all, the daily lives of citizens and the stability of the local community are the top priorities,” and urged, “Let us continuously strengthen surveillance activities and cooperation systems to enhance wildfire prevention and initial response capabilities.”
