Right after the impeachment ruling was announced, Mayor Kim posted on social media (SNS), "With the unanimous consent of all eight Constitutional Court justices, Yoon Seok-yeol was removed from power," and expressed, "I pay respect to the wise judgment of the Constitutional Court."
Mayor Kim stated, "A new era that unites the people as one must begin, and leadership that breaks division, overcomes hatred, and heals wounds is needed," adding, "Let us build hope on the foundation of a just and healthy democracy." She continued, "I sincerely welcome the impeachment and the living democracy."
