The team, consisting of senior students Kim Mingyu, Kim Jongyeop, Park Jinwoo, Jung Hyechan, and junior student Park Wonjae from Pukyong National University's Civil Engineering program, received the Grand Prize and a cash award of 1.5 million KRW for their work titled "Civil Engineering, Designing the Future" at the competition hosted by the Korean Society of Civil Engineers for undergraduate and graduate students majoring in civil engineering nationwide.

The Korean Society of Civil Engineers organized this contest to collect promotional videos that explain civil engineering topics in a fun and easy way, aiming to enhance the academic achievement of students in the field and provide promotional materials for non-majors and the general public.

The Pukyong National University students received the highest evaluation for their video, which emphasized that civil engineering is a smart and innovative field, and effectively conveyed in an engaging and accessible manner that it is an essential discipline for our society.

In the video, they introduced activities such as structural inspections using drones, research through various practical training and experiments, and design using BIM (Building Information Modeling) and numerical modeling programs. By showcasing the integration of cutting-edge technologies, they highlighted the status of civil engineering as a future-oriented and creative engineering discipline.

The award ceremony for this contest was recently held at the Korea Science and Technology Center (Yeoksam-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul), where Pukyong National University received the Grand Prize, Kumoh National Institute of Technology and Hanyang University (ERICA) won the Gold and Silver Prizes, and three teams received Bronze Prizes while four teams received Honorable Mentions.
