Applications Accepted from the 7th to the 21st
Jeonju City, North Jeolla Province, announced on the 4th that it will publicly recruit the first 100 participants for the "Jeonju Book of the Year Transcription Relay" through the Jeonju Book Festival website from the 7th to the 21st.
The transcription relay is an activity where participants freely transcribe memorable scenes or phrases from one of the four selected books for the "2025 Jeonju Book of the Year": ▲Sesang (written by Kang Kyungsoo, Changbi) ▲Bep Tteeo Naegi Project (written by Kim Geunhye, illustrated by Kim Dajeong, Gaeamnamu) ▲Face (written by Lee Heeyoung, Hyundae Munhak) ▲Eotteon Eoreun (written by Kim Soyoung, Sakyejul).

The first participants will receive the selected book and a notebook at a nearby city library, read the book, transcribe their chosen part, and then leave a one-line review and notify the next participant in the "Transcription Relay Corner" on the Jeonju Book Festival website.
Subsequent participants will follow the same procedure, passing on the book and notebook within 20 days.
The transcription relay will run until July 31, and the final participant should return the book and notebook to a nearby city library before the end date.
Choi Hyunchang, Director of the Jeonju City Library Headquarters, said, "I hope that this year's transcription relay will not only encourage families, friends, and neighbors to read together, but also allow them to share and reflect more deeply on books through transcription, experiencing the 'joy of reading.' We will continue to work on expanding and strengthening the reading culture by promoting the fun of reading through various activities."
