Chairman Kwon sincerely apologized to the public, saying, "I deeply feel responsible for not fulfilling our role as the ruling party. We will accept all the criticism and reproach given by the people."


He emphasized the need to stop divisions and conflicts and move toward restoring the community. To this end, he expressed his commitment to do his best until the end to become a pillar of the nation. Chairman Kwon stressed, "Above all, political stability is important," adding, "The People Power Party will fulfill its constitutional duties to manage the chaos, ensure the constitutional order is not shaken, and stabilize the presidential acting system."


At 11:22 a.m. that day, the Constitutional Court held the verdict session for President Yoon's impeachment trial at the Grand Bench in Jongno-gu, Seoul, and announced the unanimous decision of the justices to "dismiss the respondent President Yoon Seok-yeol." The effect of the dismissal took immediate effect, and from that point, President Yoon lost his position.
