Monthly Purchase Limit Set at 700,000 Won
Gochang County in North Jeolla Province announced on the 4th that it has launched a mobile "Gift" service this month, allowing users to conveniently send and receive Gochang Sarang Gift Certificates (card type).
Previously, to use the Gochang Sarang Card, users had to register an account under their name and recharge it through the Hometown Sarang Pay app.
The gifting service is available through the Hometown Sarang Pay app, and with the introduction of this feature, users can now freely send and receive the certificates among themselves.
By pressing the transfer button in the Hometown Sarang Pay app and entering the recipient's name, contact information, and amount, users can transfer up to 300,000 won per month.
However, the amount that can be transferred is limited to the amount the user has recharged, so it is necessary to check the balance before using the service.
With the introduction of this service, it is expected that the usability of the gift certificates will increase, as it enables easy transfers for the elderly who have difficulty recharging, as well as among friends and family.
To revitalize the local economy, the county has started offering a 10% discount on Gochang Sarang Gift Certificates from the 1st of this month. The total monthly purchase limit is 700,000 won, and for paper certificates, the limit is 300,000 won per month.
County Governor Shim Deokseop said, "I hope the Gochang Sarang Gift Certificates, which have been prepared for small business owners and residents who are the foundation of the local economy, will be widely used," and added, "Along with the 10% discount, I ask for your active participation so that the culture of gifting these certificates can spread."
