Since 2018, the Saetteul Village Project, in which KCC has participated annually, is a government-wide initiative led by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport and the Local Government Committee, with participation from seven organizations including Korea Habitat. This project involves cooperation among the government, public institutions, non-profit organizations, and private companies to improve housing conditions and living infrastructure in vulnerable urban areas and for low-income households, supporting communities that live together harmoniously.

Last year, KCC contributed to renovating a total of 203 households in Yeongju and Bonghwa in Gyeongbuk Province, and Samcheok in Gangwon Province. At this year’s signing ceremony, KCC was recognized for its efforts and received a commendation from the Minister of Land, Infrastructure and Transport.

This year, KCC plans to support the improvement of housing conditions for approximately 200 aged houses by providing building materials worth about 200 million KRW. The building materials KCC provides are high-efficiency windows, which improve the insulation performance of houses and are expected to contribute to energy savings.

Furthermore, KCC expects that living conditions for vulnerable households will be made safer and more comfortable through volunteer activities for housing environment improvement, in which employees directly participate.

A company representative stated, "As an eco-friendly building materials company, we will continue to strive for ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) management to create better housing environments and realize social value based on our accumulated technology and expertise."
