Bitgwa Jeonja Expands U.S. Market Through Participation in International Exhibition

Bitgwa Electronics (CEO Park Chan-hee), a specialized manufacturer of optical transceiver components, announced on the 4th that it has participated in the 'OFC (Optical Fiber Communications Conference and Exhibition) 2025' held in San Francisco, USA, to expand its sales capabilities to potential customers in the US telecommunications market.

OFC 2025 is a global exhibition in the field of optical communications and networks, held from the 30th of last month until yesterday at the Moscone Center in San Francisco. More than 670 global companies participated to directly showcase the latest optical communication solutions and products, and to exchange the latest industry trends and information through networking with industry experts.

At this exhibition, Bitgwa Electronics introduced a variety of high-performance communication solutions including optical transceivers for wired/wireless communications ranging from 10 to 25 Gbps, 100 to 800 Gbps optical transceivers for the data center market, and high-speed transmission DAC (Direct Attach Copper) and AOC (Active Optical Cable) used for connections between data center servers and switches, promoting its technological capabilities and diverse products to industry professionals.

In particular, at this exhibition, the recently newly developed optical transceiver, the ‘25G Narrow band tunable SFP,’ was jointly demonstrated with HFR, attracting significant attention. The 25G Narrow band tunable SFP supports multiple wavelengths desired by customers with a single SFP and compensates for dispersion in the C-band wavelength range between 1530nm and 1565nm using EDC technology, enabling transmission distances to be more than doubled. By jointly demonstrating the actual performance of this product with the equipment developer HFR at the exhibition, it drew considerable interest and positive responses from visitors regarding its outstanding technology.

A company representative stated, “Through this exhibition, we received requests for detailed product information and samples not only from local US companies but also from various global companies participating in the exhibition,” adding, “We also received many inquiries about the development of new products for the data center market based on these technologies.”

Bitgwa Electronics’ low-power design technology for optical transceivers has attracted attention from data center market stakeholders by partially reducing the large-scale power consumption of data centers, thereby lowering power costs and minimizing the environmental impact of excessive power consumption.

The company representative added, “We confirmed strong responses from industry stakeholders with our outstanding technology and products at this exhibition, and we expect to grow further in various telecommunications markets.”
