Sharing Worth 69 Million KRW Through 'Good Donation' from January to March
Chicken franchise Genesis BBQ Group announced on the 4th that it has donated a cumulative total of over 3,000 chickens to local communities this year through its social contribution activity, 'Chicken University Good Donation.'
Last month, BBQ delivered over 1,000 chickens to underprivileged groups such as children and the elderly through the Korean Red Cross. The 3,000 chickens donated up to the first quarter of this year amount to 69 million KRW in value.
'Chicken University Good Donation' is BBQ's social contribution program that has been ongoing for 26 years since 2000. At Chicken University, a franchise training facility located in Icheon, Gyeonggi Province, family members (franchise owners) and employees who receive training before store openings prepare chickens that are then donated to nearby welfare facilities.
A BBQ representative stated, "We continuously operate the Good Donation program for neighbors in marginalized local communities," adding, "Through social contribution activities including the Good Donation, we strive to spread positive influence and practice sharing where help is needed."
