Kyowon Wells New Product 'Slim One' Wins Award at One of the World's Top 3 Design Awards

Main Prize at the Red Dot Design Award 2025

Kyowon Wells announced on the 4th that its newly launched water purifier model, 'Slim One,' won the main prize in the product category at the 'Red Dot Design Award 2025.' This is the second international design award following the main prize at the 'iF Design Award' in March.

The Red Dot Design Award is a globally prestigious design competition hosted by the Design Center of North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. Along with the German iF Design Award and the American IDEA Design Award, it is regarded as one of the world's top three design awards.

Kyowon Wells incorporated the philosophy of "clean and healthy natural water enjoyed at home" into the design of Slim One. The company focused on implementing a nature-inspired design across all elements, from materials and shapes to colors.

The most distinctive feature of Slim One is its circular pillar-shaped metal spout. This symbolizes the company's first-ever triple mineral filter system, with details engraved to represent minerals, intuitively expressing its differentiated water purification function. The use of recyclable aluminum to reflect the value of natural circulation and eco-friendliness received high praise from the judging panel.

The ultra-slim width of 16 cm also stands out. By applying the In-Mold Labeling (IML) technique, the display and exterior are integrated. This enabled the creation of hidden lighting buttons that appear when operated, enhancing durability and a luxurious appearance. The colors are offered in two options: Marble White and Marble Warm Gray, both evoking a clean marble feel.

Finally, universal design was implemented to ensure convenient use for all users without discrimination. Fonts and voice guidance developed by the Korea Disabled Development Institute were applied to improve usability for socially vulnerable groups such as the elderly and visually impaired. The light emitted from the water outlet enhances safety during nighttime use while also serving as an indoor mood light.
