This urban planning road has a total length of 654 meters and a width of 20 meters. It connects the Jungang Expressway and National Route 5, aiming to improve accessibility to the southeastern areas of Wonju, including Wonju Innovation City, Bangok Gwanseol-dong, and Dangu-dong, as well as to promote balanced regional development.

Administrative procedures such as consultations with related departments and reviews by the Urban Planning Committee have been completed, and the final decision was made after supplementing some parts of the project plan, including route adjustments.

Wonju City plans to promptly proceed with the project, aiming for completion within 2025 after conducting detailed design and project approval procedures. The city will continue to collect residents' opinions to ensure smooth road construction.

Kim Seong-sik, head of the Urban Planning Division of Wonju City, said, “With the designation of this urban planning road, the transportation environment for accessing the southeastern area and Innovation City is expected to improve significantly.”
