The festival, called the ‘Sadang 2-dong Cherry Blossom Festival,’ will take place from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. along the cherry blossom road near Namseong Sagye Market (Sadang-ro 23na-gil), with about 1,000 residents participating.

Experience booths such as caricature and AI character four-cut photo booths will be operated, with a portion of the proceeds donated to wildfire victims. Food booths including a cherry blossom cafe and a ‘Cherry Blossom Road Busking’ performance, which can be enjoyed in a calm atmosphere, are also prepared.

The ‘Shindaebang Harmony Cherry Blossom Festival,’ celebrating its 10th year, will be held from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. along the Dorimcheon embankment road in Shindaebang 1-dong (around Exit 3 of Shindaebang Station). About 3,000 residents are expected to gather, and fundraising for wildfire recovery will be conducted in cooperation with the Seoul Community Chest of Korea. Various attractions such as flower tree sales commemorating Arbor Day, experience booths, food markets, photo zones, and social networking service (SNS) event prize giveaways will also be offered.

Mayor Park Il-ha said, “I hope that the residents, who have been anxious and worried due to the large-scale wildfires, find some comfort in the cherry blossoms,” and added, “I extend my sincere condolences to the wildfire victims and will spare no support for the prompt recovery of the damage.”
